Both elbows on the table, I cover my face with my arms. I sit unmoving for some time before my breath emerges from the quiet. I count to four and inhale; I count to four and exhale.

I peek through my fingers at the specks of orange light chasing each other on the white wall as the sun sets outside. Darkness seeps into the room, but not for long.

Harmonicas and violins; kings and queens and harlequins spill through growing rifts. They dance and smile and cry and seek. They grab my hands and off we go to the streets heavy with emotions, thoughts and memories.

A path is formed one step at a time. Consciousness and awareness overwhelm me, I listen with my eyes peeled ...
